Small box
Difficulty - Medium
Materials
- Cream, frosted wrapping paper
- Cream floral scrapbooking or craft paper
- 1-1/2 inch wide cream, wired satin ribbon
- 1 Large cream flower, stem removed
- 2 Bunches of small cream flowers
Instructions
- Wrap a box in cream wrapping paper.
- Cut a piece of the floral scrapbook paper 1 inch smaller than the
width of the box and long enough to wrap around the entire box plus
1 inch.
- If the craft paper is not long enough to wrap around the entire
box, tape two pieces together on the wrong side of the paper, matching
the pattern, to achieve the desired length.
- Apply glue stick to the wrong side of the craft paper, especially
around the edges. Attach the craft paper to the box, centering the
paper evenly on the top of the box and overlapping the ends on the
bottom of the box.
- Cut a piece of cream ribbon long enough to wrap around the entire
box 4 times.
Note: Ribbon measurements are approximate. The lengths may
have to be adjusted slightly based on the size of the box used.
- Wrap the ribbon around the box and tie a knot.
- Using the ends, tie a bow on one side of the box the same way shoelaces
are tied. Adjust the loops so they are even with each other.
- 8. With the remaining length of the ends, tie a bow on the opposite
side of the box to create a 4-loop bow, adjusting all loops so they
are even with each other and have an open form.
- Trim the ends to matching lengths, cutting them into a V and bending
them to form a nice shape. Keep the tails long so they will flow over
the side of the box.
- Glue the large fabric flower onto the center of the bow.
- Apply glue to the end of a bunch of small flowers and slide under
the large flower on the side with the tails. Repeat with the other
bunch of small flowers on the opposite side of the gift.
