Small Box
Difficulty - Easy
Materials
- Cream or light gold wrapping paper
- Pink matte scrapbooking or craft paper
- 3 small fabric flowers (2 cream and 1 pink)
- 1 inch wide sage ribbon
Instructions
- Wrap a small, rectangular box in cream paper.
- Cut a 1-1/2 inch wide strip of pink craft paper long enough to wrap
around the entire length of the box plus 1 inch.
- If the craft paper is not long enough to wrap around the entire
box, tape two pieces together on the wrong side of the paper to achieve
the desired length.
- Using double-sided tape, tape the inside of the craft paper in even
intervals at the edges. Apply to the box, making sure to center the
paper evenly on top of the box, overlapping the ends on the bottom
of the box.
- Cut a piece of ribbon long enough to wrap around the entire box
plus 1 inch for overlap.
- Center the ribbon on the top of the box and glue, overlapping the
ends on the bottom of the box.
- Glue three silk flowers on the center top of the box, with the single
pink flower in the middle and the two cream flowers on each side.
Large Box
Difficulty - Hard
Materials
- Cream or light gold wrapping paper
- Pink matte scrapbooking or craft paper
- 2 stems of small fabric flowers (1 cream and 1 pink)
- 1 inch wide sage ribbon
Instructions
- Wrap a rectangle box in cream paper.
- Cut 3 smaller stems from the long stem of the pink flowers in different
lengths (one 2/3 the length of the box and the other two slightly
shorter than the first).
- Arrange each stem on the box with the longest in the middle and
the ends of each stem an equal distance from the bottom of the box.
Attach to the box with glue.
- Cut cream blooms from the long stem and glue them onto each of the
pink stems, filling in bare spots and giving the appearance of a branch
in full bloom.
- Cut a piece of the pink craft paper the length from the bottom of
the stems to the edge of the box and long enough to wrap around the
entire box plus 1 inch.
- If the craft paper is not long enough to wrap around the entire
box, tape two pieces together on the wrong side of the paper to achieve
the desired length.
Using double-sided tape, tape the inside of the craft paper in even
intervals at the edges. Apply the pink paper to the top of the box,
lining up the edges of the craft paper with the bottom edge of the box,
overlapping the edges on the bottom of the box. The pink paper should
meet just below the ends of the flower stems.
- Cut a piece of the ribbon long enough to wrap around the entire
box plus 1 inch. Glue the ribbon on to the top of the box so it overlaps
both the edge of the craft paper and the ends of the stems and seam
is on the bottom of the box.
- To make the bow, cut an 8 inch piece of ribbon. Fold the ends to
middle and glue to make two loops.
- Cut a 2-1/2 inch piece of ribbon and place the right side of the
double loop bow face down onto the inside of the 2-1/2 inch piece
of ribbon.
- Apply glue to each end of the 2-1/2 inch strip and fold over to
form a bow.
- Glue the bow onto the center of the ribbon to complete your masterpiece.
Square Box
Difficulty - Hard
Materials
- Cream or light gold wrapping paper
- Pink matte scrapbooking or craft paper
- 2 long stems of small fabric flowers (1 cream and 1 pink)
- 1 inch wide sage ribbon
Instructions
- Wrap a square box in cream paper.
- Cut a piece of the pink craft paper half of the width of the box
and long enough to wrap around the entire box plus 1 inch. If the
craft paper is not long enough to wrap around the entire box, tape
two pieces together on the wrong side of the paper to achieve the
desired length.
- Using double-sided tape, tape the inside of the craft paper in
even intervals at the edges. Apply the pink paper to the left edge
of the box overlapping the edges on the bottom of the box.
- Cut 2 smaller stems from the long stem of pink flowers. Make one
stem longer than the other. Cut 2 smaller stems from the long stem
of the cream flowers. Make sure that each set of flowers matches the
length and shape of each other.
- Glue the pink flowers on the pink side of box with the longest stem
on the upper portion of the box and the smaller below. Try to get
the end of the stems as close to the center of the box as possible
so they can be hidden with ribbon. Refer to the finished picture as
a guide.
- Create a mirror image of the arrangement on the opposite side of
the box with the cream flowers.
Note: You may need to cut off additional blooms from the long
cream and pink stems and glue them to your arrangement to fill in
the holes.
- Measure a piece of ribbon so it wraps around the entire box plus
1 inch. Glue the ribbon on to the center top of the box so it overlaps
both the edge of the craft paper and the ends of the stems and seam
is at the bottom of the box.
- To make the bow, cut an 8 inch piece of ribbon. Fold the ends to
middle and glue to make two loops.
- Cut a 2-1/2 inch piece of ribbon and place the right side of the
double loop bow face down onto the inside of the 2-1/2inch piece of
ribbon.
- Apply glue to each end of the 2-1/2 inch strip and fold over to
form a bow.
- Glue the bow onto the box to complete your masterpiece.
