Materials
- Medium gold or coordinating color gift bag with stiff handles (plain gift bags are inexpensive and easy to find at your local craft or party store)
- Gold metallic wrapping paper
- Bronze metallic craft or scrapbooking paper (medium weight)
- 1 gold and blue beaded star shaped ornament (string removed)
- 5/8-inch wide gold satin ribbon
- 3 medium sized gold rhinestones (1 round and 2 oval)
Instructions
- Cut a piece of the gold metallic wrapping paper the entire length and width of the front of the gift bag.

- Cut a piece of the bronze craft paper ½ the width and entire length measurement of the top of the bag.
- Apply craft glue or glue stick to the wrong side of the craft paper, especially around the edges. Attach the craft paper to the bag, centering the paper evenly and lining up the edges on the top and bottom of the bag.
- To cover the handles, apply a small amount of glue to a few inches of the back of the ribbon and wrap the ribbon around the handle where it meets with the inside of the bag.
- Continue to add glue to the ribbon, a few inches at a time, as you continue to wrap the ribbon around the handle, slightly overlapping the ribbon.
- Finish by cutting the ribbon and tucking the end behind the handle where it meets with the inside of the bag. Repeat this process with the other handle.
- Cut 1 piece of the gold satin ribbon the entire length of the front of the gift bag.
- Glue the ribbon centered vertically to the front of the gift bag. Small amounts of glue can be added to the cut edges of each side of the ribbon to prevent fraying.
- Apply a generous amount of glue the back center of the ornament and attach it to gold ribbon so there is about an inch between the top edge of the bag and the top of the ornament.
- Apply glue to the back of the round gold rhinestone and attach it on top of the gold ribbon two inches below the bottom edge of the ornament. Apply glue to the oval gold rhinestones and attach on each side of the round rhinestone. Let dry.
